John McAfee, ever one to attract attention in the crypto space, has made a characteristically bullish remark on Bitcoin (BTC), tweeting that its “growth is unstoppable”,
Broke $7,000. The price barriers every naysayer analyst posts are merely pipe dreams for short sellers. This growth, as I predicted, will not stop. pic.twitter.com/5GXtpXufOB

McAfee has previously said that bitcoin would hit $1 million by 2020, a grand valuation for such a short span of time. Others have slightly more sober predictions about the price of bitcoin in the future, such as Tim Draper, who has said that Bitcoin would hit $250,000 by 2023.
McAfee has also been stirring up controversy because of his claims that he knows the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. However, he says that chooses not to reveal it for fear of extradition. Investors are skeptical of claims – by anyone, including Craig Wright – of individuals being aware of Satoshi’s identity.
It is at time that one website and Twitter user, GotSatoshi, says that he or she will reveal the identity of Satoshi tomorrow. This user also states in the Twitter bio that he or she “may know McAfee.”
Never imagined there would be so much interest in who I am. Can't the idea speak for itself? Quoth the poet "Daring ideas are like chessmen moved forward: they may be beaten, but they may start a winning game" But if you insist on knowing – https://t.co/lyYHmE79Mx pic.twitter.com/T14mRnfK0u

Bitcoin recently crossed the $7,000 mark and the activity of the market has sent enthusiasts into a frenzy, teasing a potential longer bull run in the coming months – a prediction that Fundstrat CEO Tom Lee has said will arrive in about 6 months. Similarly, Galaxy Digital CEO Mike Novogratz has said that bitcoin would hit $20,000 in 18 months.
All things considered, it is true that bitcoin is showing some resilience, bouncing back quickly after a long “crypto winter.” Whether or not it this will continue, time will tell.
