The world’s largest cryptocurrency asset manager, Grayscale Investments, is airing their “Drop Gold” Bitcoin (BTC) commercial on national television today, May 16.
The commercial is poised to generate a lot of hype and excitement for Bitcoin from the mainstream public, especially since Bitcoin has already increased over 100% from the beginning of the year.
As previously reported by IIB, Grayscale’s TV commercial will be aired to millions of Americans across the country, and will send the message that gold is an old fashioned asset that’s quite literally weighing down your portfolio.
The commercial juxtaposes Bitcoin with gold, touting the former to be far superior in terms of speed, security, and efficiency, making it an essential asset in today’s digital world. It also promotes Grayscale’s publicly traded Bitcoin Investment Trust (BIT).
All in all, the commercial is a tongue-in-cheek look at the benefits of investing Bitcoin versus gold, and it grabs viewers’ attention and leaves an impression after it’s over. As the commercial is airing for the first time today, we can expect a lot of America’s mainstream public to be introduced to Bitcoin for the first time.
With Bitcoin’s explosive growth as of late, the commercial couldn’t be airing at a better time. Maybe after today, the markets will experience another wave of FOMO from the public.
