VeChain CEO, Sunny LU, has met with Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, at the SEEDS and CHIPS Global Food Innovation Summit in Milan, Italy, the project’s Italian community reports.
The two reportedly spoke about the vision for blockchain-based ecosystems with the intention of “positively transforming the future of our planet.”
LU then responded to the tweet, saying that he had told the Italian Prime Minister that could assist in the digital transformation of Italy with the help of DNV GL.
VeChain partnered with DNV GL in January 2018, a Norwegian company that is an international accredited registrar and classification society. Among other goals, the two have partnered with the intention of using “use blockchain to improve the transparency of product and supplier information, significantly increasing the efficiency of supply chains.” DNV GL, along with Deloitte, recently migrated all of its certificates from the Ethereum blockchain onto the VeChain blockchain.
VeChain itself has had an excellent time forming partnerships, and is now working with BMW and Deloitte. Additionally, Chinese food giant Bright Food just integrated its first product on BrightCode, a blockchain solution on top of the VeChain blockchain. The solution allows users to view real-time information on the product, such as viewing the source of the milk product.
