The VP of Business, Data & International of Coinbase, Emilie Choi, was recently interviewed by The Block, and said that margin trading may be one of the next features that the platform introduces.
Saying that margin is going to be a next big step, Choi showed some reservation because of the lack of regulation,
Margin lend borrow is definitely going to be a next big step for us, especially on the active trader side…We still need to figure that out because there’s not a lot of regulatory clarity there right now in the US. And so that that is being discussed.

Reports are also emerging that popular exchange Binance may also make a move into the margin trading game, which would further enhance the list of features that the exchange supports.
