Coinbase’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Balaji Srinivasan, has revealed that he has left the major US crypto exchange, tweeting that he really “enjoyed his time working with his friend Brian Armstrong” and that he was “taking a bit of time off to get back in shape.”
Block. One CEO Brendan Blumer responded to the tweet, praising him for his contribution to the industry:
Srinivasan is the co-founder and board member of Coin Center and a lecturer at the Department of Statistics and Computer Science at Stanford. He also co-founded Earn.com.
This marks the departure of another senior executive from Coinbase – several others have left in recent months, including Dan Romero, Head of International; Christine Sandler, Director of Institutional Sales; and Adam White, ex-vice president and General Manager. Coinbase also recently shut down its Chicago office, laying off about 30 employees.
