Peter Brandt is a well-known investor with decades of trading analysis experience. Crypto market investors have lately begun to pay close attention to Brandt, as the veteran investor has made a number of accurate predictions about Bitcoin and the market, including predicting the 80% drop in prices of 2018 and the recent bull run.
Either from Dec '18 low or from retest of same (circa analog dbl bottom in 2015) it would not surprise me if $BTC enters a new parabolic phase. $btcusd pic.twitter.com/XV89Qz7P4n

Bitcoin (BTC) currently sits at a price roughly of $8,700, just below the very tantalizing $9000 levels. Most cryptocurrencies have experienced a rapid surge in prices in a very short span of time – typical of the crypto market – with Bitcoin first jumping past $5000, then $6000 and $7000. Investors saw $8000 as a level a little more difficult to break and some had wondered if $10,000 would arrive by the end of the year.
Now, however, those predictions will have shortened their time frames. Granted, this spike had only begun yesterday and it remains to be seen if this current surge is an aberration and will continue, but many analysts have agreed that there are several technical indicators that point to higher levels by the end of the year.
Brandt had also correctly predicted an increase in Ethereum’s (ETH) price, which is $268 at the time of publishing. As for other altcoins, Litecoin (LTC) has surged past the $100 mark and is now at $112, while Cardano (ADA) and EOS (EOS) have also gained, at $0.086 and $6.93 respectively.
