Enfante terrible, John McAfee, has made yet another bold claim, this time saying that he is aware of the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, and that he has been protecting the bitcoin creator’s identity.
I protected the identity of Satoshi. It's time, though, that this be put to bed. Imposters claim to be him, we are spending time and energy in search of him – It's a waste. Every day I will narrow down the identity of Satoshi until he reveals himself, or I reveal him.

Going to say that he had received several communications from individuals and groups who have been claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto, McAfee posted a few screenshots of said communications,
I have received today dozens of communications from people and groups claiming to be Satoshi. Below is an example email and my responses. So people, please – i do know who Satoshi is. Satoshi’s identity has always been something of a holy grail for cryptoenthusiasts, and Craig Wright’s assertion that he is the bitcoin creators has roiled the community greatly, with BSV investors firmly behind Wright, but the vast majority of users disregarding it. Vitalik Buterin has also been dismissive of Wright’s words.
We May Never Know the True Identity of Satoshi Nakamoto
The controversy surrounding the identity of the Satoshi has been enflamed ever since Bitcoin Cash SV (BSV) creator has stepped up his claims that he is in fact the bitcoin creator, though nearly the full majority of cryptocurrency enthusiasts are certain that the identity of Satoshi remains concealed.
A majority of users have dismissed the notion that McAfee knows the identity of Satoshi, saying that it is unlikely that that he does know the identity and that, even if McAfee did know, revealing it would be unfair, given that Satoshi – whether he, she or them – very likely does not to ever be discovered.
