Galaxy Digital founder and former hedge fund manager, Mike Novogratz, speaking at the 2019 Ethereal Summit, has a sobering vision for Bitcoin (BTC) in the future, saying that the top digital asset will not change the world by itself, being just a store of value.
Novogratz made a speech on May 11 and, in it, he said that bitcoin’s use case was “kind of finished” as far as its use cases were concerned and that it had established itself as a store of value.
For Novogratz, it is the arrival of Web 3.0 – a decentralized web – that would change the world, with platforms like Ethereum (ETH) being the big game changers. Speaking about the altcoins in the market, Lubin said that “there’s no one building anything on the Litecoin blockchain.” He previously recommended selling Litecoin (LTC), calling it a glorified testnet for Bitcoin.
It is here that he also said that “there’s no one building anything on the Litecoin blockchain.”
Novogratz has predicted that bitcoin would hit $20,000 in 18 months. Despite the bullish prediction, his eyes seem on the many altcoins which may succeed with their unique use cases.
