The Brave Browser has raised an impressive $30 million in a Series A equity round, sources told CoinDesk. Brave has not responded to a request for comments by CoinDesk.
These sources also said that Brave is looking to raise between $30 – 50 million with an evaluation of about $133 million.
Brave has been very successful in the past year or so, having launched their Brave ads program, and grown phenomenally in terms of users, downloads and active usage. The browser has already surpassed Firefox and Opera in terms of growth,
Brave CEO, Brendan Eich, has said that users can begin earning money for viewing ads right away and that the earnings will increase over next year.
