Stratis Deepens Relationship with Microsoft, Now a Certified Microsoft Independent Software Vendor (ISV)

On October 24, London-based Blockchain-as-a-Service (BaaS) provider Stratis announced that it has become a certified Microsoft Independent Software Vendor (ISV).

This certification will give the company access to both marketing and development resources designed to enhance its technology and overall business operations.

Joining Hands in the Name of the Blockchain

Both Microsoft and Stratis originally partnered up in September when Stratis’ initial coin offering (ICO) system was made available via Microsoft Azure – the software giant’s cloud computing marketplace. This marked the first time the tech giant was hosting a platform for ICO fundraising.

The Stratis ICO platform claims to be able to issue tokens in just a few minutes while raising funds in an assortment of monies including USD, Bitcoin, Stratis’ official cryptocurrency STRAT, and roughly 50 other digital assets.

The platform also said it would be enforcing higher security measures by employing know-your-customer (KYC) protocols to verify the identities of all participating players while filtering IP address and blocking those utilizing TOR or virtual private networks (VPNs).

A Safer, Stronger Way to Raise Capital

CEO Chris Trew commented:

Utilizing the Stratis ICO platform on Azure allows ICO administrators to leverage the advantages of Azure’s PaaS offerings, thus removing the headaches with typical standalone virtual machine deployments that are all too common. Our solution tied with Microsoft Azure allows an ICO administrator to ensure their data is safe and their ICO is always available.

This is especially important in that several ICO funds, along with the private data of relative investors, have previously fallen into the hands of hackers and malicious individuals.

Stratis seeks a way to increase security and ensure investor information remains untouched.

Getting Stratis in Front of More Customers

In addition to its ICO platform, Stratis also has its Stratis C# Full Node application available on Microsoft Azure. The ISV certification will help put Stratis products in front of a wider audience as Azure boasts 120,000 Enterprise customers and 800,000 partners globally.

Stratis’ core business operations will soon consist of offering smart contracts, sidechains, and Stratis DLT (distributed ledger technology), which is designed to give larger institutions access to private blockchain environments.

All 3 features are set to make their debut in the next few months.

So, What Makes Stratis Unique?

Stratis is the first and only cryptocurrency platform with full nodes built in C#. This means the applications developed through Stratis are part of a.NET system – a software network developed strictly by Microsoft – thus making its certification an obvious move.

CEO Chris Trew further commented:

We see this as the first step towards a deeper integration and partnership with Microsoft in the BaaS arena. Being a company that specifically develops tools for the Microsoft ecosystem, it is only natural that we integrate as tightly as possible with their platform offerings. This undoubtedly will provide greater visibility for our projects and serve to showcase the multiple functionalities that the Stratis platform can offer.

On the potential future of the partnership, Trew went on to say:

We also think of this step as just the first in enhancing our existing relationship with Microsoft, and we aim to become a gold partner in the future. This partnership gets me very excited, indeed. I am looking forward to working with Microsoft’s go-to-market team and further leveraging the Azure technology stack.
